When deepening the neck pocket the fingerboard surface is lowered in relation to the body - the purpose of that change - but also in relation to the bridge. Tilting the neck is necessary to compensate so the saddles would stay, more or less, at their regular position, avoiding "bottoming out". (IMHO)

My Verdine 5 has the straight neck joint. Mine was one of the first ones, before they made the neck pocket deeper. The reason mine has a pickguard is because I couldn't hang with the distance between strings and body.

It's only millimeters but it felt like miles, lol. They all have deeper neck pocket now.

I did the same with my 2006 NYC Std.

Yes, the one on the left is a Metroline. On the right is my fabulous Metro Express.
So Sadowsky is making the neck pockets deeper? Now I have to sell both of mine so I can have deeper neck pockets.

What's the "official" color of this one?

Yes it will have matching headstock.
I asked Roger for a pink metal flake and he suggested this color which was used for an Adam Clayton build, I don't what the shop calls it.

That pink sparkle is outrageous. While I prefer champagne sparkle, I would rock the pink for sure.

I visited the shop, when all I had was “parts” of my in-production bass...still very gratifying, and super hospitality/memories of meeting everyone! Btw, awesome single-cut!!!

Someone wanted a narrower bridge spacing. Look at the strings over the fingerboard, it's pretty obvious.

Yes but the Sadowsky preamp are sold pre-wired on a control plate. Can i rewire the preamp to accommodate my bass control layout?

An option would be to take controls off the plate (as I did on a bass with no pick guard) you could make the 5th hole your jack (assuming you have a side jack now). But your side jack not in use wouldn’t be that noticeable imo. It would be worth it as these preamps are the best , also imo

I believe they (the Sadowsky shop) will set you up with a five knob pre (sans plate) on request. They’ll just replace the bass/treble stack pot with two separate pots...one for bass, one for treble. If they won’t do it for some reason, a few minutes of soldering will get you there on your own
