I had a Warwick NT Thumb 6, sounded great, played nice, weighed a ton. I'd be shocked if it wasn't 14 pounds, my old body could no longer handle that, but he QC was as good as an Alembic I had in the German Warwick.

Good eye! I believe you are correct about the calipers being Mitutoyo. They appear to be digital too. Those look like quality Mitutoyo calipers, the Sadowsky of calipers, so we should all be OK
Beautiful basses! I really like what the tort pick guard is doing for PJ. Gives it a deep, rich, coppery hue.Swapped out the pick guard on the PJ 5-21 to Tort. View attachment 3639865
Hey I am German.... but Dunlop all the way!...regarding the Strap Locks first: I love to rely on German hardware, hence I have Schallers on it, second: it makes my straps interchangable between my Rick, my Spector and the MV5.![]()
Yes, I was 10 pages behind... h^^^ A little to that party. We’re onto Warwick.
That's really purrrty! It arrived. I’m very pleased with the satin finish. It’s really attractive and elegant at the same time. The flaming is beautiful. And so light weight. Like a little over 8 lbs. Nice!
This one is flamed maple over ash with maple neck and board.
These things basically play themselves. I have some of the best action setup that I’ve ever experienced in a bass. So effortless to play. Impeccable workmanship.

I hope they can keep the weight down pledge for the Metro Express basses manufactured by Warwick.Simple. Fender builds WAY more instruments than Sadowsky NYC, Metro, and Metro Express combined. There's no practical way to go through each piece of wood used for that many instruments.
