totally agree now the metro express in wood only body okume, maple neck, maple or morado fingerboard , I'm not sure if for
$899 the pickups and preamp are the same as the Japanese metro express. even so it have the name Sadowsky, I understand Roger is sure where he puts his name. but as you say, only the time will speak.
not to sidetrack, but i've seen a good number of fenders with excellent Pau Ferro (Morado) boards. just sometimes it's a bit dried out, tho one nice oil treatment and they're perfect.Never been a fan of Fender’s Pau Ferro, but Sadowsky Morado is a thing of beauty!

Also, just fyi, Morado is simply another name for Pau Ferro. Only mentioned it since you appear to differentiate them in your wording.

One I use a lot is Dunlop 02 deep conditioner. A lot of people like the D'Addario "Hydrate" too. I'm sure there are others. Just whatever you do, don't confuse the conditioners with the lemon oil cleaners. Different tools for different needs. What oil is good for Morado?
LOL!!There's a whole thread about this going right now. Lotta people on it who can't be bothered to oil their fingerboards, lol.
Does Anyone Actually like Indian Laurel or Pau Ferro Fret Boards?
Good choice, I was admiring one in the same colour at Guitar Guitar in Birmingham last week and it looked stunning. So, I just bought a new Metro Express RV4 and it is wonderfulNot many left in the U.K. and mine’s an extremely cool ‘Ice Blue Metallic’ @ 8.32lbs. Never been a fan of Fender’s Pau Ferro, but Sadowsky Morado is a thing of beauty!

I use Howard’s Feed & Wax.What oil is good for Morado? BTW, perfectly aware it's the same as Pau Ferro, my extremely small joke.
You will see my money in March, if that's the case! There will be a MetroExpress 4 string for $899 and a MetroExpress 5 string for $949. Unfortunately, China is closed for business at the moment. We were hoping to do a small first run in March and our first production run in May....but all timeline bets are off now, due to the Corona virus.

I used to use Dunlop but the F-One is a different class on my Sadowsy NYC ebony boards. Seriously.Music Nomad F-One oil works great too! Really brings out the grain of the morado on my Verdine 5.
What’s the best bass for Morado?
