Yes to both. The Japan SA-200 will need an internal switch adjusted to run on 110-120v or 240v. If you are serious, LMK and I will search my old PMs for the advice I gave others.
Random Sadowsky joy... These have been my primary instruments for my ongoing fusion trio project. The NYC 4 covers half of the tunes while the ML-WL 5 and EUB split the other half. The Suhr is really just a backup and the bass I generally practice on - so the lovely NYC can rest safe in her case.

They are probably my favorite Sadowsky dealer. I've bought a Metro and the SA200 and had no issues at all.
Love that pickguard on dark LPB. If I could have that pickguard on my Verdine White, I'd choose the same one!

Thanks guys!! I did some sleuthing and I think this is one of the last Satin basses that got made. It's serial #8830 and it looks like this last batch hasn't hit the Recently Sold page yet so idk how many may have come after it.
I placed the order in December 2019 and took delivery in August 2020. I'm impressed they were able to turn it around even that quickly with COVID and all the restrictions that got placed in NY. But let me just say, thank the flying spaghetti monster that I ordered when I did, because this bass is incredible! I'm not telling you all anything you don't know, but it's the first bass I've ever owned that I can't find one single thing from a tone/feel/playability aspect that could be better. The neck is PERFECT - no dead spots (even using pedals that wreak havoc on tracking) and intonation is dead on. I've had only a few gigs since I got it, but it just fits in the mix whether I'm playing Funk, R&B/Hip Hop, Reggae, Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock, or... Top 40

I have a F***er Jazz that is really pretty fantastic and has been my workhorse for years, but it hasn't left it's case since... well, since August. Maybe it's time for this to hit the Classifieds.

Fair point. Although I'm honestly more worried about an amp failure than any issues with this guitar, and suddenly my car is getting very crowded.
I think the Satins are one of the best bass values offered in recent memory. I’m very glad I grabbed mine last year, while they were available. I’m sad to see them discontinued, but I understand why. I have #8780 it's a satin series VM Vintage 5 , I got it in June when the shop reopened off the in-stock page. There was only a couple more satins that hit the in-stock page in July and I don't remember any of them making it into August. You where seem to have been lucky enough to order and get one of the last or the last to come out of the NYC shop, BTW beautiful bass.
