Club Sadowsky!!!

We entered a big lockdown here in New Zealand last week, first real serious one in a year. We’ve been so lucky to have life as nearly normal for so long. So my “day job” band Hands Off got stuck in to doing another lockdown video. Here’s my Sadowsky in action! Hope to get back to work soon.

Wow, very cool song! Nice voice, great chorus, tight and driven groove, and of course cutting bass Sadowsky!! :D
Congrat, love it! Great band!
I would imagine a cool solo featuring a sax player, or a guit/lead synth, something like that... and a litl bit 'moving' verse with more chords, even with the same bass (don't know the correct phrase of it... f.e.: G/A, or D7/A), IMHO... but it is already perfect this way!

Awaiting for more vids!

FWIW - I am not expecting it to be a real sadowsky but if it’s better than say a comparable ~$750 MIM fender I’d like to give it a shot. I don’t own a j style bass and thought this one might be cool. I do worry about trying to resell it if I decide it’s not for me…

Second time buying a German made Sadowsky and like i said before fit and finish are top notch especially the neck. The neck is my favorite feature on the German builds it plays like butter.

Here comes the bad news unfortunately this bass had the same electronic buzz issues like my first German build did. I took to the bass to my tech, he shielded the pickup cavity and it fixed the problem. I really hope Sadowsky/German iron out this problem.

DR Fatbeams 45-130 match made in heaven on this bass!!

I haven’t. I’ve used their preamps in my Fenders as well as the preamp pedal. But never owned or gigged with one of their basses.

I had a nice conversation with Roger yesterday and just received notification that my new bass has shipped. His 7-day evaluation period is very generous. I’m sure I’ll post an NBD.
Just let me know if you want a club number after that 5 minute evaluation period. Yeah, 5 minutes, you'll probably need no more than that...maybe ten

I've been trying to find something to replace my Sadowsky Everyday Polish for a while now. Not sure about the Dunlop 65, but I bought a bottle of D'Addario Shine Spray Cleaner the other day and it worked like the Sadowsky Everyday Polish.

wait a damn second…..we’re supposed to clean them?
Well damn……

Quality control still an issue with the MetroExpress line
Come on man…….

seriously though, these go for about $900 or so right?
Dealer is paying roughly half to 2/3 that, so what do you think it’s costing to make these in China?

I love Roger and company, but I don’t at all think of these as Sadowsky basses, as much as I thought of the KSD as Ken Smith basses.
