I can't remember the size but the nut bushing thing (sorry don't really know what it's called) is just a different size and they can send it to you and it'll fit then without modifying the hole. I bought one and put on my Verdine White with no trouble whatsoever. My package has the model HE6C-1/2, 20685C but when I ordered it from Hipshot I specified Sadowsky and they sent the correct piece.

Here comes the bad news unfortunately this bass had the same electronic buzz issues like my first German build did. I took to the bass to my tech, he shielded the pickup cavity and it fixed the problem. I really hope Sadowsky/German iron out this problem.

SADOWSKY MetroExpress will return to the headstock as soon as the Chinese trademark courts have completed their work.

I have both. The front pocket on the Stage 5 is definitely smaller. It has the additional compartment on the front, but, it’s tight. You can get more stuff in the Portabag.

This has happened to my Mono M80 as well. Had it for a while, but don't expect the flop and the velcro to wear out at that price. And yes, a bit heavy.

That looks like the Protec Contego bag... goes for 170 on Amazon. I bought mine years ago for a lot less, great bag!! Semi solid case.
My only complaint was that the big pocket was not square to accommodate big chart books, but I managed to fit it in.

Regarding the Mono M80: I've had mine for about ten years and it's still in great shape. The main reason for that, however, is no doubt because I almost always use my Portabags. While the PBs might not be the most easy-on-the-shoulder cases, they are by far my favourite gig bags. With the PBs I never worry about the safety of my basses.

Most of this is referring to the nut/bushing size fitting from the top of headstock. My issue is the actual tuning peg where the threads start for the nut/bushing does not fit up from the backside of the headstock. The Sadowsky hole is not same diameter all the way through, just at the bottom it steps down to a smaller diameter that when screwed together the nut/bushing would actually meet that wooden lip for lack of a better description. I will get on the horn with Hipshot tomorrow. Though this xtender might fit my RSD as it is 1/2" as well. That would be kewl, I usually have them on all my 4string basses.

I guessing that someday, in true TalkBass fashion, the transitional logo models will be in high demand and renowned for their rarity and exceptional tone characteristics. :)

I am not familiar with the “licensed’ hipshot tuners, but the usa ones are pretty modular, I’ve taken them apart to match stems on detuners and such before. Can the shafts be removed from the import ones?

The day I discovered the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]o I was pretty much done with every other case or gig bag. It’s solid & extremely plush. The pockets are huge and include a laptop/iPad sleeve and cable management loops. There are handles everywhere. It comes with a rain cover. It’s very comfortable on the shoulder. It has a lifetime warranty. And best of all, it’s $199. It feels a little lighter than the Portabag, but equally as sturdy/protective. I have one for bass and one for guitar and they both work great.

If I’m being honest, the only reason I carry my Sadowsky in the Portabag is the logo. Shallow, but true ;)
