Club Sadowsky!!!

Just got home to the Hurricane Ida fallout. My green NYC J4, my 2 Lakland P’s and my MK Electrici upright are all casualties :( Watching water drain out of the Jack was sad.

I can’t complain too loud as there are plenty who have it far worse, and 2 friends have significant impact to their businesses (one a School of Rock, so the autumn student season is hosed and fewer new musicians )

color me sad.

So sorry, for you, your friends and all affected. Glad you are ok.

Oh man, that sucks big time. I hope you and the people around you are ok, hope insurance covers (most of) your stuff. But seeing a bass like that... heart breaking.

OMG, very sad about hearing these news, the casualties and the losses. Hope for better times ahead... (but afraid of climate is changing worse year by year.. :(( )
This soaked finish/painting is a sad memento of this tragedy. I don't know how much can it be repaired.
I'm lucky to have avoided such misfortune/damage with my stuff, but had another one this year, with our brand new car in accident...

thanks for the kind words everyone. Will be giving @Sadowsky a ring in the coming days after the insurance adjuster comes in.

We live ~200ft from a small stream that ends at the LI Sound, which swelled from ~8ft across to 400ft. My immediate neighbor closer to the stream has a toddler and so I’m hopping their good because mold and babies is very no bueno.

Thoughts on the Sadowsky Portabag Express?

I might leave a bass in it in the house somewhere safe, but wouldn't use for actual gig use. My opinion, about the same quality as a bag that might come with a MIM Fender. They did try to make it look like the regular Sadowsky portabag though.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Express is Sadowsky speak for cheapest. €100 new. Here’s a used one for $35. It has a ripped strap.

Good for nothing more than keeping a bass in at home.

Ok…..the search for a new bag continues!
