I wouldn’t think of getting rid of that baby.
What are your other axes you have that makes you want to get rid of this one?
how often or what percentage of the time when you reach for a bass, does this one get the selection?
i'd say if you don't have to sell it, AND, it gets played fairly regularly (even if not necessarily often, but at least somewhat regularly), keep it.
otherwise, if you hardly ever get it out, and are essentially "storing" it and not much else, sell it.
This is the dilemma my new Sadowsky has put me in. There is no reason to play anything else. I’ve become a one bass player again.
Don’t you have a few NYC Sadowskys? Do you have a favorite? There’s a fair amount of money tied up and used prices are up. Maybe choose one to keep?

I’ve been looking with great interest since the early development of the Will Lee Bass. Ten years? Virtually all of the NYC features in this make it a slam dunk at half the price less a fancy top.then you sir, have won the game. celebrate!

That is a beauty, and no doubt uniquely thunderous. The way I wind up not selling basses is to optimize the setup and then play them. It’s like falling in love all over again.
The Will Lee is a JJ with a distinct preamp circuit and this is a PJ with classic Sadowsky preamp. Different, no? Do you have another active P bass that you like better?
While used prices are up, Sadowsky Japan basses are not selling for prices commensurate with their quality. I’d keep it.
Thanks everyone. It's not about do I pick it up or not. It's more about reducing the stable. This is one of those basses bought on a whim and I had no plans on buying anything at the time. I happened to be at the Mesa Hollywood store for hubby's interest in a guitar...I wandered over to the bass area and saw it, tried it, hubby said buy it, so I did. Someday, not now after reading these posts, I will release. It is the only bass I have ever played live. So it has some sentimental value there.

I see many times these Genzler BA series cabinets, looks popular in the States. Are you satisfied with them? Well I've bought a 112 version the first edition in 2016, I like how much compact and lightweight but I miss something in its tonal character.
I operate it with different heads, f.e. its Magellan 800, a Genz Benz, and last week I got back my old GK 1000RB from service, and played 3 gigs with it.
Same experience, lack of some midrange freq, just a feeling. Maybe I'm used to something else.. (I used GK RBH cabs earlier.)
Yes, very much so. I've only used them twice live, so far, running a MB500 through them (haven't used the Shuttle 6.2 on them, yet). They're definitely voiced differently than the Neo 212's, for sure (about same amp settings, same bass), but I am enjoying both!
The MV4 is on deck for the next gig, so it'll be interesting hearing it live, combined with the BA 12-3's.

I've been watching the available versions of the RSD 5 string fretless basses lately and all I'm seeing is the black with tort guard option across the board. Are there any plans for additional body colors any time soon? Also was mildly curious if that model will ever revert to the traditional style headstock logo or if the current one will remain permanently?

We have are moving to a new factory for the MetroExpress. The new basses with have my original Sadowsky Logo.

Hmmm…. Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea to avoid Chinese trademark issue? Some nice imports being made in countries other than China. Will be interested to see new version.
Roger Sadowsky said they won the trade mark issue a few months ago. I assuming that wherever production will happen, it will be at a factory under contract with Warwick. I know Warwick has made basses in Korea, I don’t know about Indonesia.
A Czech made Sadowsky would surely be a great product.
The Dingwall and MTD Kingston Chinese products also make excellent basses.
As mentioned above recently, the used Japan Metros seem to be the sweet spot in the used Sadowsky trade right now here on TB. They are excellent instruments at great prices.
Even more of a reason to keep mine.
