Club Sadowsky!!!

Many thanks!

I had actually done a bunch of searches on Amazon, all of which turned up the more recent switching supplies. I had even ordered a Dunlop ECB003, which used to be linear; but, some marketing person at Dunlop substituted a switching supply at their end as supposed equivalent.

Actually, the more I think about it, that adapter I posted might not be linear. It is at least not stated explicitly. The newer PSA 120S from BOSS is also a switching adapter.

Does your Sadowsky preamp not play nice with switching adapters?

Nope. It emits a high pitched whine with the switching adapters.

I’ve ordered one off the Boss units, and will post up on Sunday, after it arrives.

My NYC custom built is finally completed. Can't wait to meet her!
Just another beautiful work of art from Roger and his team!

WOWZAS!!!

That thing is a work of art … and that PJ setup is going to spank! I would be overjoyed!

Do you mind if I ask your turnaround time? I know they’ve been working hard to catch up in the shop, but I ordered last July and wonder if I’m still on track for the 12 month estimated turnaround. If not, no worries - but having her in hand for all the gigs I have lined up in august would be sweet.

WOWSY - is this a AAA flamed maple body, but at the same time the spalted (i.e.decaying) ??? Insane figuring !
Thank you! This is what the body looked like when I picked it out from the Master gallery:

Thank you!!
Because of Covid I waited over two years, but from the beginning I had told Roger to take his time because I had some other beautiful Sadowsky basses to play in the meantime. :-) Well worth the wait though!!

I'm going to post the before and after pix to social media later today. Just a reminder to any Sadowsky players: if you have any great pics that you have posted to social that I may have missed, message me here. Also, if you aren't on social in that way, but have great pics of your bass and/or a gig, message me as well and I might be able to use them on our feeds.

I ordered mine in December ‘21 (got the final details and quote on Jan 1, ‘22- I swear Roger never takes a day off ;)), and haven’t received it yet, fyi. I’m pretty patient though, as I know it’ll be worth the wait… :)

Oh, sure - I'm patient. I've waited 6 years for a bass before! 3 years for a repair! o_O

And I know that some basses take longer than others, depending on the build - I just like getting a feel of turnaround time from other people waiting as it keeps me from bothering the shop.

It just gets hard when you start to get the itch and I need moral support!

Oh, I’m getting itchy too, trust me…
