I saw the Steely Dan rent party tour last night. (best live mix I've heard in 30+ years so, see that if you get the chance.)
The real takeaway was this:
The Sadowsky Strat that Becker was playing spit out the single best clean guitar tone I have ever heard. Period.
There isn't even a close second.
It was...surreal how good that thing sounded.

I played a Sadowsky Walter Becker through a Fender Super Reverb amp at Roger's shop last month and I will concur with Steve. Lighting shot out my arse and I immediately was on my knees licking Roger's shoes. Upon witnessing my actions, Kevin and Rob became ill and had to run to the rest room.
Seriously, I have a slew of Sadowsky and they all are dream instruments. But playing that guitar was mind blowing!!!!
As I understand, Sadowsky has his bridges exclusively made for him by hipshot, and they are not sold separately, but I think the closest to it would be the hipshot B series, am I right? now, what is the standard choice on sad basses, aluminium or brass? does anybody know?

THAT review has caused the worst GAS ever. I want that WB model so bad....it's driving me mad.
My new sadowsky, is an incredible groove machine, the low end and midrange feels incredible. Thanks Roger and crew!
Looks more like a Gotoh 201 than a Hipshot B.

I think they are Gotoh, as well. All the ones I own have black hardware and the bridge is brass

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought so based on the aesthetics. Did you used to used Gotoh at Sadowsky?
I could swear that the bridges on my past Sadowskys were Gotoh 201s. Was there a change?
