Club Sadowsky!!!

It can take some practice, but once you have figured out how to do it, you do it without thinking. Also, it is typically done on notes on the higher-pitched side of the instrument's ambitus (but it's not a must). When I do it, I basicly slide (quite fast) between the note I want to hit and one fret above or below. So, if I want to hit a E, I do E-F-E-F-etc... or E-Eb-E-Eb-E-etc... You can approach from both sides as well I guess.
I don't know if this helps you; maybe someone else has a more usable way of explaining this technique.

I thought, that usually you get the picture of the unfinished body and about a month later, the bass would be completed.

Well, well, well..... As I was really getting nervous as the "6 month" period was about to expire, I just got a picture from Kevin saying "photos of your bass".
I was expecting to get the picture of the body before finishing, but it was THE WHOLE BASS!!!!

What a pleasant surprise :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Now I just have to wait for Roger to do final inspection next week (as he actually is away right now).

... and have it shipped to my place!

I played a few Sadowsky's this past weekend at the Bass Place in Phoenix. I was *hoping* I'd find a 4 string Sadowsky that I preferred over my MV5 since I prefer 4 strings. They all felt and played amazing, I think Roger is at the top of the game. I wouldn't mind picking up the RV4 that I played there but I decided I can't ever get rid of my Sadowsky, no matter how many strings!

My Sadowsky weighed less than any of the other Sadowsky's I tried out and just has some mojo that I would forever miss.

When I was playing I also brought along a new Fender Jazz that I picked up. Halfway through the set I switched basses because I felt like the Fender had a deeper sound for some of the tunes. Afterwards my wife said...whatever bass that white one was is my favorite (she preferred the Sadowsky).

Yes that is correct...the UV70 feels a bit better to me because I like the more rounded radius...For what its worth I like the 9" Radius on the NYC Ultra Vintage even better! The UV 70 "feels" a little beefier in my opinion as well...I think it is only a minor difference but a difference nonetheless...they both feel great so you can't lose either way but the Ultra Vintage feels more like an older Fender if that is what you are going for....
