IMHO, that's literally the perfect pair. PJ5 alder/brazillian, and JJ5 ash/maple. VERY nicely done!!! :)

Give us your first thoughts on them, but I predict you're gonna' say the PJ5 is all about big phat warm thick classic-ish tone, and the JJ5 is all about in yer face aggression but with a sweet depth. :)

And before you ask: No, I didn't got crazy and went from my plane jane maple/ash 4 stringers to the exotic top, 5 string gang.

A friend of mine bought it and she'll be in good company with another 24-5 spalted maple beauty.

Me, well, I can't quit my ways :D:

You understand that by doing this you raise home value all over Santander. You both should get paid or at least get a street on your name.

If had the MV5 for some years now, So I know that one!

But you are right: the PJ5 ALD/BRZ is "all about big phat warm thick classic-ish tone" :)
Although at first, when I took it out of the Portabag, it seemed brighter than my MV5 (both with new Sadowsky Blue Steels).

I'll have to tweak my effects a bit to accomodate the hotter output of the PJ5. But other than that, it is definitely a keeper.

I wondered who the lucky guy or girl was who ended up with this one. That's one of the nicest Sadowskys I've ever seen and I had to remind myself of my current lack of funds before rushing to the phone after I first saw the latest stock update. I'm glad Roger and co. don't produce too many as sweet as this one or I'd be in a constant state of turmoil. Gorgeous instrument!
