I for one am glad you guys had the 'nads to do that. I am one who "gets" the relic thing, but I woulda been too nervous about the result to have given this a try myself. Bravo. Really dig the vintage knobs and how the pickguard, body and neck turned out. Again I don't think I would have had the chutzpa to relic an NYC of mine, but I certainly would buy that bass. I can tell you one thing, you've got to have the finest sounding and playing relic-a-sized bass out there.

-Can't say about the sound guy, but if I were to guess, I think he is ok with me.
-The guitar players are cool and they really don't create any serious problems.
-Each of the back up singers is married to someone in the band (including myself).
-Amazing how our drummer is quite a big guy and always fail to appear in most of the pictures, but he really doesn't care. He becomes visible in the pics below. :)

So you ARE banging one of the back up singers :ninja: I new it ! Who says bass players don't get chicks !

Here is what I think. Consistently Sadowsky bass pics I see here on TB are always among the best looking basses I've seen. I have never seen one that didn't look great.
As to the "relic" Sadowsky. I think the relic job looks very good, I like it. For some reason the fretboard attached to the bass looks odd. It looks like a brand new neck stuck on an old bass (from the front pics) Just looks unnatural to me. Great relic job on the body though. Maybe it's just because it's a 5 string. ???

The funny thing is the neck is far from new and does have some player wear before I sent Brett the bass.

well if that's the case then it's just my eyes and I'm sure it looks great and I could probably see it better in person. From reading the thread on how he did it, it sounds like he put some serious effort into giving you a great finished product.
