I was on the fence about the black matching headstock but I decided to keep it natural

I can easily get a Tort p/g and have Brett age it. Let's see what it looks like in person, first.

There was a game where people added points to a manufacturer they liked...and took away points from a manufacturer/luthier they did not like. Why did Sadowsky go into the negative points? I know not everyone likes Sadowsky, but are there any particular reasons for it?

I wonder if it's the price? That's often where Sadowsky gets beat up, because they are quite pricey... especially compared to Musicman, and even compared to Lakland.

Hi all,

my long awaited Sadowsky UV has arrived. I've had very mixed feelings about the bass but I'll give a review after I will have gigged it tonight.

Now for the pics:

I've just put on a pearl pickguard. I'm digging it so far. I like the black also for a classic look but I think the pearloid makes it a bit different. Here:

Black all the way. It must be my catholic education, but white perloid guards always remind me of the presents that kids get on their First Communion day: white perloid frames, white perloid photo albums, white perloid pens,...I don't know if this only happens in Spain, but for me 'white perloid' is a no-no :ninja:

Edit: I forgot to say that your bass looks great. beautiful grain. I hope that your mixed feelings change for good after you gig it tonight.

I am jealous! I saved a few bucks and went with the MS5. Still a great bass, but I now have inlay and pickguard envy. Thanks!:spit::D

Quite a different look for just a couple of small differences IMO.....
