Workin' on it... just gotta' get the pots dropped in. This week sucks 'cause I'm out tomorrow thru wed in Chicago on training... actually have to leave tonight.As soon as I get my P/J 5 back from Vic, I can take my Sadowsky Trio pick.
This was my first Sadowsky back in 2002. I sold it around 2004 and up until a week ago, I had been Sadowsky-less for 5 years. Happy to be back. I miss this bass for sure.
My bass was originally made for Steve W. Rabe, founder of SWR Engineering. I believe Roger traded the bass for some SWR gear which he still has in the shop. Since it was for SWR, I guess that is why the "SWR" was put on the headstock.
This bass was also used in the "Judge Us By The Company We Keep" SWR ads back in the early 90's. That could have been another reason for the "SWR" on the headstock.

And the bass now (in my hands):
So this bass has some neat history to it....on top of it just being an awesome bass! Can you tell I like talking about it! This is my go to bass for sure!

Wow! Looking at all the basses sure makes it tough to resist.
I'm left handed and have never had a chance to play a Sadowsky. I do have a left handed USA Lakland Joe Osborn 4 string with a rosewood neck and passive pickups. What are some of the differences I might see/feel/hear between a Sadowsky and my Joe Osborn? I'm trying to decided if buying a Sadowsky would be a good addition for me.

I just picked this 2004 MV4 up from fellow TB'er Il Capo (who's absolutely awesome to deal with!) and boy is she a beauty. The Trans White has taken on a really sweet custard-like tone and boy does she sing and play like a dream!

but having tried them out on multiple occasions, I would imagine it may feel similar (although the Sadowsky has an extra fret). I would imagine the biggest difference would be the sound. The Lakie (being a passive bass) would be quite different from the Sadowsky 's preamp...
Got this one in May "99. 500+ performances w/ it (belt rash and arm wear proudly displayed). This one does most of the work. 2003, 24 frt 5 str shares time, and will soon have the teal green metallic PJ5 that was on in-stock page in Aug. Yeah, I'm a believer.
I saw one this afternoon on the LA Bass Exchange site...trans white over ash, maple board, Gotoh bridge and Barts. Looked old and well-loved.
Truly is gorgeous. Thanks for that pic. It really has a nice aged/oly tint to it. Looks fantastic. I'm sold on it and my next bass will be a Trans White Sadowsky.
