Club Sadowsky!!!

Boom!

IMG_0780.jpg

Oh, Mama!

Count me in.

This is my third Sado, the first an RV4 - which I didn't like at all and laid the blame squarely on Sadowsky zealots, however this was terribly unfair as it had nothing to do with Sadowsky, or Sadowsky fans I was just in an anti Jazz bass mind set. The second an M5/24 really illuminated the quality of Sadowsky's and I promptly bought an R5/24 that I still have today. I sold the M5 for no other reason that I had two and the R5 has some road rash making it a good work horse instrument that I wouldn't "fret" about treating as a tool with little concern for bumps on the job.

A few questions for the Sadowsky experts:

Can the stock soap bars be coil tapped?

I've pondered installing either a set of Nordstrand DC's wired in parallel with single coil switching to the neck side of each pup, any thoughts here would be greatly appreciated.

I've also got a set of Lane Poors I've pondered installing - thoughts?

Lastly and probably will lead to some "use the search feature" statements, alas with 9000 club Sadowsky posts perhaps some kind souls could opine on the matter for me - what strings for this beastie?

Thanks and number please!

Ok, a request for my Sadowsky brothers and sisters. My local shop has on order a UV70-MB-ASH-5, natural finish, white binding, and white board. Aside from this potentially being right in my wheelhouse sonically, I confess to the sin of vanity. I've not been able to find an image of such a beast, but I'm thinking it'll be pretty darn sexy.

So, anyone happen to own one of these, or at least an image of one? :D Thanks in advance...
