Thanks...it really is a special bass. Ash body, walnut top, maple neck & board. It's a beast in the lows and lower mids, which really supports the typical MTD crispness in the higher frequencies. The tone on that 535 is AWESOME! What is the wood combo?
First time I love the MTD tone that much!

Question for you guys, I really want a 3-tone sunburst. Should I get this one painted or just hold out for one to come on the market or what? What would you do?
It's funny, i've got a natural US Lakland JO that i'm contemplating having painted as well. Except I'd like probably vintage blond/transparent white.... something like that.
Pat Wilkins does the finishes on Sadowsky and US Lakland, so I'd think if Pat does the paint, it wouldn't lose any value.
If you can afford it, wait for a Sunburst to "pop up". If you're like me and can't afford to buy another, get it painted.

Picked this up Tuesday at the shop.. It plays and sounds great, a nice addition along with my Nordys... It will get a nice workout this weekend..
Here's my new one!!!

I still think, no matter how well it's done, a refin will always reduce value. It's funny, i've got a natural US Lakland JO that i'm contemplating having painted as well. Except I'd like probably vintage blond/transparent white.... something like that.

I gotta' say, either the Metros are getting better, or the ones I've typically played (and owned and flipped) in the past just weren't quite representative. I gotta' have my fancy NYC, but I'm definitely a believer in the Metros for the more basic/typical configs. Definitely. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is just fantastic, and I really got lucky on the weight too.
Dude, when you get it, it'll be SOOOO worth it. I guarantee it!Yeah, its hard enough waiting for one to come to you, let alone being tortured on a daily basis. Anticipation gives me heartburn.

+1!!!!^^^^^^^
Awesome, Joel!
Congrats!

That said, who cares about a Lakland anyway, right?![]()

Not for long though, hopefully.
