Thanks Rob!!! That was one thing that killed me the first time I played a TF. It was set flat and just crushed! It was very warm but had a great attack to it as well. I hope the Aggie GS410 works well with the combo. While the cab is heavy, I love the sound of the speakers. Though, I cannot help to think that a Bergie or Epi might fit the bill too....![]()
Chris, I've never had a TF but I did have a GS410 when they first came out. Gosh I loved that cabinet but talked myself into needing (?) an Epi ul212. Although the Epi was a great cabinet and worked out well for my fretless meanderings I realized how great that GS410 sounded. It was a HEAVY beast but it is one of the few cabinets that could give me serious pants flap and make me a bit weak in the knees when I stood in front of it. Now I have the AE410 and it sounds magnificent with the db750 but in someways it doesn't seem to have that sledge hammer feeling that the Aggie seemed to have in spades.
So I think that you have a winning rig there myself, if you can deal with the weight.
