You know, I went a little sour on quilted maple when I got my current main bass because I got a, er... D-grade top, but I keep seeing really nice tops like that, which make me like it again. I also think that quilt is perfect for that kind of burst.

Love that fretboard, too.

How do you find 'em? I'm curious about edge LEDs for when I'm on a dark stage, but I'm afraid of them looking garish from the audience...

We send the necks to England for the LED installations. I know of no one in the states that does it.

Hm. Good to know. I'm not convinced that I like them anyway, but everything I think about them is based purely on theory, as I've never seen any in 'person.'

EDIT: Oh, waitaminit. I meant 'find them' as in 'do you like them,' not 'where'd you get those?'

The side LEDs are fantastic for players who need to work in a dark pit.
The front dots are much too Las Vegas for my taste.

I agree completely about the front LEDS. I'm thinking I won't go for even the side ones.

You guys aren't thinking outside the box. I want to order up one that has an all led top. That way I can rent it out as billboard space while playing gigs.

They are positioned on the top of the neck so the audience doen't see them. They are great for me as i have some light to dark issues.

Sims did the ones on that bass (3044), 3992 and the bass you guys are presently doing for me.

Dude, when you root/five as wicked as I do, the 'notice' part just happens.



No, that was just as example of me typing fewer words than I was thinking. What I mean was that I could definitely get with the side dots if I were playing in the theatre district, I find the *front* dots a little too Steve Vai for my tastes. Especially as I tend to play pubs and smaller venues.
