Club Sadowsky!!!

For a second I thought that was an alleva coppolo with the pick guard and no control plate.:) Nice bass!
I need to order a bell cover for my nyc 5

Well guys looks like I'll be joining the club. My bass will be delivered Monday. I'm pumped. I'll have to post a review when I get it.

Yeah it has a unique look. It started as a MS5. The previous owner had the gold pickgaurd custom made and added the pu cover. I can't wait to see it I person. I thought I was supposed to get it Friday, but forgot that UPS was only delivering air and international packages. It pains me to think that it's been sitting in a warehouse all weekend. I'll just make sure I let it warm to room temp before I pull it out of the case.

+1... It's got a bit of the A-C vibe with no control plate. Nice bass, congrats! I'm sure it will sound killer.

Old school also for me!
My first 2010 decision is to save money. In 2010, I'll get a Metro RV4 in Transparent White...I cannot resist while I see all your Sadowsky pictures and soundclips (sorry for my poor englsh, i'm french!)

My first resolution is to practise more. As it is, buying a Sadowsky would be like buying an Aston Martin, then driving it up and down the lane at 10kph.

Or...

Ma premiere resolution de nouvel an est de pratiquer comme un fou. Sinon, ça vaut vraiment pas la peine d'acheter un Sadowsky.

Oh, et mon français est encore pire que ton Anglais, which isn't bad at all.

Moi, je dirais une Sadowsky, pas un Sadowsky. Lol
Crois moi, attend de pratiquer avec ta nouvelle Sadowsky. Ca, sa vaut la peine. Tu pouras plus la lacher.

True dat. Up here, it's either masculine or feminine, depending on whether you're talking good French ('une basse') or street Québécois (in which case: 'un bass' using the English word).

Though, I guess in terms of holding something close to your body, I should have gone with the feminine... but that's for a different forum.

I believe it. In a most fundamental way.

I have three silly questions:

1) How sturdy and reliable is a Sadowsky Bass in the long-term? Can you beat the crap out of it like a quality Fender, or do you have to baby it?

My main bass is a 1988 Standard 4. And no, I do not baby it! It is like a fine wine....gets better with age. I've had some other Sadowsky owners play this bass and they were all amazed on how incredible this bass feels.....and its 22 years young!

Dude, I duck out for an hour of snowshoeing on the canal at the end of my street and the whole thread's switched languages! Wow...

In Québécois, we'd call it 'un truss-rod.' ;)
