I have three silly questions:
1) How sturdy and reliable is a Sadowsky Bass in the long-term? Can you beat the crap out of it like a quality Fender, or do you have to baby it?
2) Do the soft-hard cases come with all of their models?
3) Can you order pickup/bridge covers to come with the Bass?

1 - seems to be built like a tank. No need to baby.
2 - Metros come with soft-case. NYC come with gig bag or hard case
3 - NYC you should be able to get anything you want. I think with Metro you'd have to order separately and drill yourself but don't know for sure.
1) You can beat the crap out of them
2) You have your choice of hard, soft-hard, Portabag or gig bag
3) You can order pickup covers for the neck pickup. Bridge covers will not clear over our bridges.

Last night proved that the RV5PJ is champagne-proof. The danger of playing a danceable tune right after Auld Lang Syne.
That looks almost exactly like my current RV5PJ. I want a NYC to drop some weight and it's either stay old school or go spalted. I like 'em both...

Over the last 9 years since my artist deal, Ive probobaly played close to 2000 gigs with a number of different Sadowsky basses. Ive had two incidents and one was my fault. LOL. Thats it. Id say buy with confidence.

In this case I'd opt for old school. I am with Kjung on this: no fancy tops on Js and Ps for me.

My first 2010 decision is to save money. In 2010, I'll get a Metro RV4 in Transparent White...I cannot resist while I see all your Sadowsky pictures and soundclips (sorry for my poor englsh, i'm french!)

The 59 burst with a flamed or quilted Maple top would be the ideal solution. My next PJ5 5 will be exactly that.
