LOL! No i'm not trying to kill you. This bass was already ordered when I got my WL, I was so amazed with the WL neck so I called the shop and ask to have the neck dimension the same as a WL.
Ultimately I should've order a WL but it was kinda too late. Plus I don't use the mid boost very often.

Last night two jerks, well thieves, tried to break into my house. For some reason my computer screen didn't went off, illuminating the room so they could spot my beloved Metro MV4 through the window. They broke a small part of the window (strong heavy glass) when my wife woke me up... one shout and they disappeared. They didn't get to take anything. Police/insurance...

bastards! I hate when I hear that an instrument has been stolen. It makes me feel as if they are also stealing a part of the owner's soul. :scowl:

Thanks Fran. All are fine, kids didn't wake up so they don't even know about it. If they were to get into that room the alarm would have been activated, but they didn't.

It shouldn't, I want to keep it down to two basses, in fact, for most of my life i've been a one-bass-man and my UV PJ4 is "The Bass". My J4 has a killer slap tone but truth be told, I haven't slapped a note in a band for the last ten years and the idea of having another P so I can have one with flats and the other with rounds is very tempting.
On the other side, I'm afraid of having seller's remorse if I let my J go.
On top of that, next year I'll start with piano lessons at the conservatory and might be buying a piano so I'm not only short on gear money, also on space at my living room.
...Anything worth doing is worth overdoing...hmmmm ...does definitely apply to Sadowskys.... M5-24, NYC 4-string... could need a NYC 5-string vintage PJ next...and/or A M5-24 vintage?...

I did not care for the M24-5 at all. It is the only Sadowsky product I ever sold!
This is what I'm talking about, to me this just looks right. The PJ5 on a J body doesn't do much for me... But this is nice.
I tried a few PJs a few weeks back when I was in the shop, full on I loved the finger style tone and slightly favoring the bridge gave a nice burpy tone. However I didn't like the slap tone very much it had that hollow P bass tone mixed with the bighty bridge pickup. That was a total deal breaker for me, I thought I was looking for a ash/maple PJ5 but walked out with a UV70.
I REALLy prefer the P style body with that config!
Man, I've been GAS-sing really badly for a Metro Hybrid P/J lately. I love my 2006 MV4 so much, and it's the finest bass I could ever imagine owning (I don't foresee a NYC with my budget). Yet I have this gnawing feeling about playing a Sadowsky with the P body and the J neck with flats, but I am really trying not to accrue any more significant debt this year...
On a lighter note, it appeared that the bass man in the Bocelli/Blige "Bridge Over Troubled Water" segment on the Grammys had a Modern 5. I couldn't tell if Hugh M's P was also a Sadowsky because they never showed him very clearly.

Hugh was playing his new Alleva Coppolo, but Ricky was playing his Sadowsky and Aguilar rig. His tone is always great IMO.
yeah, I have my instruments covered but they are more than the money they cost. If anybody comes now and offers me double the list price for my PJ I'll say "NO".
We had two bass appearances at the Grammys....Rickey Minor with Andrea Bocelli and Mary J Blige, and the bassist with Lady Antebellum, Dennis Edwards.
