I've had mine for 2 months now and play it 3-4 nights a week on my gigs. I just love it, especially the cut in the lower horn and extra fret. My VW Fodera is now in retirement. I would highly recommend buying one!!!!

Does anyone know if the pickup covers on the Sadowsky 4-string HC pickups is replaceable?

I just got a set of HC's for my JJ4 and they are a bit worn looking. There looks to be some type of potting material under the coils and I don't want to disturb that if the covers can't be replaced.

I've had the pleasure of owning five of Roger's babies and I'm proud to say that I finally found my soul mate, that being my new Sadowsky NYC. It's the lightest bass I've ever owned, less than 8 lbs, WOW! I can play this thing for hours. Here's some cheesy pics I took with my Iphone. I'll take new ones when episode 14 rolls along. It's an Oly White RV-5 without VTC that I picked up at Thomann and which sat there for a couple of years I guess (M2079).

Woke up one day figuring that I my life made no sense if I couldn't get my hands on a JJ5 before July (when my NYC is due)

It's great, I play Classic Rock and I didn't miss the VTC one bit. It's much more balanced than my M5-24 (obviously) and I believe the alder rosewood combo does work well without VTC.

Nice One!! Congrats! I am sure this do that classic rock stuff!
I have been slow to, more than ten years till I desided to get one and still counting the days, about 100 days till I will have my own.
