I will say this, I have compared my WL4 in passive mode to my '73 Jazz, and IMHO, they sound extremely similar.
I'll try this again. Maybe i got lost in the Sadowsky mix.
Good to know and something to look forward to. Soon, I hope.
As Chef said, Fran Diaz will take care of your number. It is pretty late in Spain now.
In the meantime, welcome to the club

Hello All!
My first time back to TB in over a month. I've had a whole lot going on in my world lately and have not been around.
Due to a rather HUGE amount of medical bills, I need to get rid of some gear......
Just a head's up for all you brothers......I am going to sell my Will Lee. It's in as new condition and kicks butt! If I weren't in the boat I'm in at the moment, I wouldn't be even considering selling this bass!
If you are interested, PM me. I'd rather it go to someone here than elsewhere if possible!
Thanks!
I don't mean to sound defensive here, but I do not understand how a Sadowsky J, with single coils and in passive mode, could not sound "Fendery" or "Vintagy".
Roger
My thoughts exactly. Considering the single coils are based on 60's Fender pu's (correct me if I'm wrong), how could it NOT sound "Fendery" in passive mode? Now, I've never actually owned a vintage Fender but I've always been curious about what the difference would be. I have also never played my Sadowsky passive while with the band.
Well, you guys have to make sure to order it with clay dots, otherwise we all know it won't sound vintage.

My interpretation of the 70's spacing is added high mids as opposed to extended treble, but I could be wrong....
I'll have to wait until June/July when my UV is due.
Cory, that really sux! I hope that it's nothing too serious. I had noticed that you had been away for awhile. Our thoughts are with you and hope that things get better.
I hope that you don't mind that I posted this.

I just talked with Kevin about ordering a left handed Will Lee Sadowsky. I'm really excited, but there are so many choices to make...ash/alder body, maple/rosewood neck, plain or fancy top, etc. I'm leaning towards the alder/rosewood setup but not completely sure.
The big downer is an 8 month delivery time. That is going to be the longest wait in history! And then there is the dreaded left handed curse...a $300 upcharge. Oh well, what do you do when you want the best!
As soon as I make these decisions, I can place the actual order. Then, in 8 months I'll be able to ask for a number![]()
In freezing rehearsal room with RV4, long underwear, two pairs of socks, scarf and gloves.
