Are you asking about a 4 or 5 string bass?

I strongly feel that the Sadowsky neck is much more comfortable than any of the Fender J basses I've own or played. It's hard for me to describe what the differences are but the Sadowsky neck feels just right.

The nice thing about buying a Sadowsky is that Roger offers a 7 day trial period. I have a feeling that very few people are willing to send the bass back after the trial period.;)

Thank God I got my second Sadowsky! The couple for my 24-5! The UV70 is spectacular! Gold Hardware, Clear PG and D-Xtender...

I had a similar looking all natural '78 J bass back in the day and I outfitted it with all the gold and brass I could find... including the main part of the pickguard. That thing weight a TON, but the tone was completely off the chain. Nice basses, Ed777!

I'd put a pearloid 'guard on there to match the blocks. I'd also feel that, to rock gold hardware, I'd need a diamond in my tooth. I love the grain on that body, though. And the look of those pearly blocks on the fretboard. And of course, the other bass is pure sex.

I agree about the pickguard. That clear one is cool but the body looks like it needs some white on it to match the neck.

Man I think those are 2 of the most handsome basses I have ever seen. the gold hardware and clear pickguard are a sweet addition. I am starting to develop a case of bass envy. I bet they sound Great! (sound clips if you got them) por favor.

:hyper:NYC 24-5 in the house! My 1990 pre-Gibson Tobias Killer B5 has been in the case since I got the NYC last Tuesday! The Toby is now my backup bass!

Specs:
Dark Caramel Burst, no face dots on neck, rosewood board, preamp on/off switch, custom knob layout, 1.75" @ nut

As to release my pain on waiting my Fodera that scheduled build on Sep 2011..... I just gave myself a good excuse on building a Sadowsky NYC.....

Few order notes I made:
- Keep the weight within 7-7.5bls, I did own #4864 at 7.15bls which I love the weight a lot.
- Dunlop recessed strap lock instead standard dual strap lock
- Darker Brazilian board
- Preamp on/off toggle switch
- Since I'm now ordering a Standard 5, but I requested to have Vintage 5 knobs layout with no control plate, I prefer the closer knobs layout better

Ed777, I've been dreaming of that spalt top you have ever since I first saw it on the Sadowsky site...it always makes me think of clouds. That is a dream bass for me! Lucky Man!

Thought I would throw up a action shot...sorry for the crappy pic, but this is from Sunday with the Big Man Clarence Clemons...

He just had some surgery and is on the mend. Hopefully soon he will be as strong in the legs as he is in spirit. He's got a really great ear and can play in any key we throw at him, which isn't the case with most sax players! Every time we play together the crowd just loves him!
