Club Sadowsky!!!

We made the switch to the Electrosockets about 8 months ago (I think), but yes you can still order any NYC bass with the Football Jack plate.
Robert

I don't understand why anyone would prefer a football jackplate over what we are doing now. The Electrosocket and our XL Switchcraft jack, to allow the use of right angle plugs, is much more costly for us and I sincerely believe it is an improvement.

Hi Roger,

Thanks for chiming in on this one. I've always related the football input jacks with your basses and I'm suprise to see you've made the change. Does this require smaller cut-out? and what is the XL switchcraft jack? Isn't the football jack also a switchcraft?

I'm all for improvement, although I didn't realize there was room for any in this case!

Speaking of awesome, I played a gig at The Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ on Friday. I had my basses set up so I could grab one and go and Digital Summer's guitar tech noticed them and goes "HEY! Roger built those" and we chatted about all the greatness that make up Sadowsky instruments.

I always like it when someone else recognizes them.

I also have plenty of live footage of what my main Sadowsky sounds like live if anyone is curious.

We should have a Sadowsky live/studio clip thread!

What is the main difference between the two styles? Does this newer style afford more protection when you put the bass down or something?

I would say it gives the basses a Cleaner/newer look than the old style football jack.

A few still request the football jack, but most go for the Electrosocket.
