Ed777, I've been dreaming of that spalt top you have ever since I first saw it on the Sadowsky site...it always makes me think of clouds. That is a dream bass for me! Lucky Man!

What a great shot and an awesome opportunity! I've always loved Clarence's playing. The tone and soul that that man can ring out of a sax is so amazing.

I've noticed that Rodger has started using the same input jacks used in MTD USA basses. When did he start using these? and are the older input jacks still available?

Don't know if you can custom order your bass with the old style input jack, but I own Sadowskys with both and the new ones are great, a little refinement over the old football plates. By the way, if what worries you is angle plugs, yes, you can use angle plugs.

We made the switch to the Electrosockets about 8 months ago (I think), but yes you can still order any NYC bass with the Football Jack plate.

I didn't know that the recessed strap locks were an option. That's good to know...

funny enough,
just found out that sad's now come w/ a 500k volume pot? alex at the shop explained to me why they changed it, but i forgot. anyone?
yup,
both my sad's have recessed, and it looks and feels better. my strap is that much closer to my body, and it just looks cleaner, too.
just make sure you have separate straps in each of your different gigbags at all times!
