Got the neck adjusted on my RV4. No more buzz. So now I'm a fully happy first time Sadowsky owner. Will get a pic posted so I can get my number.

Thanks - I AM thrilled! I've had it a week now so I broke free for some initial pics tonight. Better ones eventually, but you get the idea.
BTW, I'm the sound guy's new best friend. The legend of how the Sadowsky cuts through the mix and sits just where it should is real, friends...but many already know it to be true.
So, I put the P pickup in standard position and put the tort pickguard on it this morning. I think I still prefer the reversed P sound. But, not sure which pickguard I like better. The Mint or the Tort. If I decide to go tort. I will have Sadowsky make me a new pickguard with the reversed P. I actually may go ahead and have them make a J pickguard while they are at it.

I am a big tort lover but never much liked it on that bass. I like parchment, or mint, or off-white or whateve it's called.

I'll be running it through a Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0 with a Genz-Benz 2x10 cab and a Epifani UL2 1x12 (or for the low volume stuff with bass / acoustic guitar through a a Genz-Benz Shuttle 3.0 10 inch cab combo).
I'm very pleased to finally have a good setup. Only downside is now I can't blame the equipment...
Can I get a number please?

Reversed P = win.
I wish that the P pups Sadowsky used weren't those symmetrical ones, though. I prefer the look of Fender's 5ver P pup because it doesn't have that blank spot.
Granted, that sure wouldn't be a make or break factor if someone were to offer me a bass just like yours...
I guess it's a "pick your poison" kind of thing. The fender ones have their own issue since each piece is a different size..with the Sadowsky, they are the same size but you have a blank space on one. From 10 feet away, you can't see that there are no pole pieces on part of it.

I'd go with tort if it were me. I've had both and, at first, I liked the reverse P more but I've gone back to the standard P as my main gigging bass. It's sits really well and really anchors the band. Either way though - great basses! I love my PJ5!
