Club Sadowsky!!!

Hey Guys,

My band just played a great venue last week and was able to get a board mix of the night.
It came out pretty good and you can hear the Sadowsky rippin' thru the mix.

NICE! you ain't kiddin' that your Sadowsky is rippin' through the mix.

Killin' Joe! That's the tone that so many don't get. That tone was probably bright as heck solo, but is just fat and warm in a mix, but you can HEAR THE DAMN NOTES, and that touch of grind up top. So many players work to get a big, fat, warm, dark sound in the basement, and then it sounds like total dog in a mix. This is literally perfect... sits above the bass drum, and the treble/grind is below the cymbals. Perfect!

Genz and Sadowsky should sign you up as an endorser. Oh... wait... I guess at least half of that has happened already!

Joey,
Fantastic playing and your tone was awesome.

This is what makes my Sadowsky's work for me. I am more of an old school type tone. For me, Sadowsky's (w/o using VTC) are very bright when I am practicing but once in a band setting these basses just kill.
I am currently using an NYC PJ5 and lovin' it.

Most probably ordered by a slapper who wanted a Standard. The distance between the top of the board/strings and the body is a bit much for many who slap on the Standard and Modern 24 models.

Those half guards can actually look very nice (there is a shop in St. Louis that has made quite a few of the half guards for Modern 24's and Standards). However, I do agree that clear guards in general are a travesty... like those clear plastic slip covers some people put on their 'good' furniture back in the day to keep them clean!

A Perloid or parchment/white half guard would look great on that bass IMO.
