Club Sadowsky!!!

A little vid from a while back. We threw a crew party on a cruise ship gig I was on and got a few musicians from each band together to do a song. There are a few skipped notes in here since we were all sight reading and I forgot my chart!!!! Good thing I more or less kinda knew it! This is with the VTC all the way up.
A little Led Zepplin w/ horns and strings!

very cool , looks like you guys were having a blast !

Wonderful! Except for the sacrilege I observed at 6:39 .... really, HOW could you put a F-Bass strap on that Sadowsky?

Yeah, I know...they are comfortable! Nice job!

Finally have something to share with the group again......

So, two weeks ago I picked up a 62' Pbass:

And when I gigged it with the band, I realized a few things:

1) An Alder/RW Pbass with flats just sounds SO right with my band/style.

2) Pre-CBS Fenders have MASSIVE low end that my Modulus Oteil 6 w/Sadowsky Pre could never hope to match

3) Though my ash/maple PJ5, seen below, is an amazing bass in every which way, I won't be complete as a person until I again own an alder/brazilian rosewood.

As it turns out, there's a local guy who I"ve known for years who is, through my own direction/gear-corruption, coming to appreciate hi-end gear. When his band was touring 150+ shows a year, I convinced him to try an Aguilar rig and voila he's an endorser. Similarly, he's now got that special-sleep-loss-inducing kind of GAS that is Sadowsky Lust, and is VERY interested in taking my PJ5 off my hands if I sell it......which I'm going to to make room for this baby...........

:hyper::hyper:

The EXACT specs that I wanted a few years back before they offered the anodized gold guard!!! I'll be out of town the rest of this week, but the middle of next week she'll be ALL MINE!!!

Very cool ElMon.

I'd be really interested to hear your comparison of the '62 vs. the Alder/Braz.Rosewood Sadowsky with the P pickup solo'd.

NICE!

That means I better call Kevin NOW! ;)

And here I thought I'd have to watch out for KJung and his new and shocking taste for Pbasses, as evidenced by the Nordstrand P5!!!! Now YOU TOO!!!!!

Oh believe me that's the FIRST thing I'll be doing!!!

LOL, truth is, I've already done my stint with an amazing NYC alder/brazilian PJ5 and it's just not for me, so trust me, you're very safe. In my case, the magic is in the ash/maple, and I got off lucky in that I found all the magic I need in a Metro and saved some bux at the same time. :)
