As long as they sound "good bass soundish" for me, they are ok.
That's why I gig mine.

Did you also miss the point of my post.... as a direct answer to the question of what 'on steroids mean', and why there are so few P's and also so many 5 strings on all these 'expensive Fender copy threads.

Absolutely nothing... similar to the 5 string model on steroids meaning nothing anymore... especially as it concerns Sadowsky, which (IMO) is a unique take on a J style instrument (which is a good thing, by the way).

Edit: Although, I'm starting to feel that you can't really make a decent five string with a 34" flat sawn maple neck, especially if its one of those cheap bolt-on models.

Edit: As an explanation and not an excuse for my goofiness today, I'm listening to the entire Miles Davis 'Jack Johnson' box set, and am now on disc 5 (I'm not kidding... really). It was either release some tension on this thread, or I would have probably shot my neighbors.

How do all you posting photos of your gorgeous basses not get the string winding showing up like I do? No flash? What's your trick?
