It's time to make a metro version of another late night bassist' Sadowsky! I would order one of those today. Mike Merritt is a monster player as well, I'm so glad those guys got their gig back with Conan.

I can see the job interview now, "Well Mr. Merritt, things look to be in order here, but there is one last question before we can offer you the job" Mike: "Ok, what is it?" " We need you to play that "As Seen on TV" bass that all the other late night tv band bass players are using, that's not going to be a problem is it?" ;)

Sorry, guys - I know we've been over this before and I can't find the thread so I'll throw it down here (again, I fear).

I'm loving my Metro RV5-PJ like crazy! What an amazing bass!! Gets better every time I play it.

Question I have is about my bass' finish and my Hercules guitar stand.
Is the finish even nitro and do I need to worry about it or can I just move on?

here's the bass:

Here's my stand:

I've put the little fuzzy things Roger sells to cover stands onto the clip arms, but they're a pain and keep falling off. Not up for wrecking my finish if that could happen, but do I need to do this or am I good here?!

THANKS!

Myself plus my two main basses.

I'm expecting to have the same experience with the Sadowsky that I have with the New Standard, the better I get the more the bass says "bring it".

Zip,

Only the neck is finished in nitro. You should be fine. I think quite a few sadowsky owners use Hercules stands.

You can always cut them down so they fit better.

Maybe he's using more than one bass tonight, but for the big performance (sidenote: Conan was playing? singing? and a guitar solo?? oh my! LOL) it definitely looked like a lakland J Bass with big singles...that oval shaped bridge is hard to miss

I agree....in the number with Jack White he was playing a Lakland.

Roger
