You should buy as many Sandbergs as You can, but always keep a Ray under the bed...I made the same mistake and sold mine :(

Thinking of selling my Fender Japan 62 Reissue Jazz since I got the TM4, which I love. I could use the $ from the Jazz to get some other gear. But I'm afraid I'll miss it. I'm going to do some recording tests but what are people's thoughts about a Fender Jazz being redundant if I have a TM4? Does the TM4 cover the Jazz tone palette pretty thoroughly in your opinion?

After I got my TT5 passive I feel like my jazz-bass needs are fully covered. Their passive Alnico-V pickups are crazy good. The only other bass I need now is a 5 string P-bass. But it won't be Sandberg as their VS-basses (Sandberg P-bass) sound too modern and have on-board preamp which is kinda useless (active P-bass? no, thanks).

They can do it passive too using the configurator but that makes for quite an expensive option

Random coincidence. I was just playing around with passive VS options in the configurator the other day.

To the best of my knowledge the VS pickup is Sandberg's own, not Delano. And I'm sure they'll put in another pickup that you like. Just need to ask.

My VS was Sandberg not Delano’s and passive.
They have options for pick ups, some may cost more, some will be nice extra charge, if it’s something specific they Don’t normally stock you’ll have to do the pick up exchange yourself afterwards, but soldering is easy, stock pick up could always be sold to offset cost

Just got the news that my 48 is ready!

They're much more efficient than I expected; I was actually kinda hoping it would arrive after I'd already moved (no, not really my choice to move in the middle of a pandemic).
It's a hard life in the first world, it really is :)

That's the one i spec'ed but would probably be around 2500 USD mark

I made a test with my TM4 in passive mode with splitted Humbucker, next to friends old Fender Jazz.
You will not be missing a Jazz bass. :)

I have Sandberg Electra TT and I am in the process of preamp upgrade (stock to Glockenklang) and somewhat puzzled by the wires coming out of stock pickups. Four wires (white, bare wire, red and black)!! I have seen three but not four. Any idea how to wire those? Thanks in advance!
