And how was the serrano bass made? Not using real serrano ham, I'm guessing?
the leather bass is a cooperation with Richter Leder (Invalid Link Removed) they put the leather on (btw real leather), there's also another bass, a white leather vm4. Richter did something similar with Marleaux a while ago.

I'm waiting for my new California TM4 NT. (till May)
I ordered a tortoise Pickguard, black blockinlay, maple neck, a different Bridge PU (the Delano dual split coil humbucker) and a 3-way switch for serial, single coil and parallel.
And I chose golden hardware!!
I did this because I thought it will look great in a couple of years and because I like the kind of steampunk design.
But now I'm getting unsure. Any pros and cons for gold hardware?
Does anybody know what material the bridge is made of? Or how it will look when worn off?

Gold hardware is cool, don't have any so I don't really know how it looks like when it's worn off. But I can show you how it looks like when Sandberg ages gold hardware:
If once you got it you want to swap gold for chrome, I still have some chrome hardware around. It's a little worn. The bridge has the old type of saddles, which I'm using because I prefer them, so I could only give you the new saddle type in black.
Send me a PM if your interested, I can make some pics. I'd be interested in trading for your gold hardware.
Of course you can also always buy new hardware from Sandberg, any music store which sells Sandberg basses can order the hardware for you.
I'm pretty sure the bridge is out of steel (Edelstahl), it's quite heavy.
Hi, I hope someone can help me! I have a TT5 about 6 months old which I'm very pleased with, except it has a quiet A string. It is well set up and fitted with nickel DR low riders and as little contour as possible on the strings to try to eliminate this. Any comments would be appreciated.
