I find the MarloweDK has a deeper tone than my Fender Jazz. Every sound engineer has commented on how defined the tone is without losing the depth. Plus it has a wonderful slim neck same as my Geddy J but nicer feel. I absolutely love the MarloweDK. Was never a fan of relic'd basses but now that i have one i'm finding at gigs i'm not so worried about dinging it for some reason.Thanks. I guess my next thing is to decide if I want the active preamp with the Delanos or the MarloweDK. I had the five string MDK and loved everything about it except the B string. I need a good 4-string jazz in my arsenal. I kind of feel like either choice is a winner.
Some good pictures of a 6 here Sandberg California II TM6 “Superlight” Satin Natural, - UK Basses specialist:: For sale, UK, On offer, JAzz Bass Warwick, USA, Birmingham, London, Manchester, USAI think this is the first 6 string I’ve seen. Awesome player!!
I had the same experience with my old TM5. Plus, the vibro treatment is surprisingly effective. Was never a fan of relic'd basses but now that i have one i'm finding at gigs i'm not so worried about dinging it for some reason.
Don't discount the TT4 passive. The same great pickups as the MDK but in 60's position.Thanks. I guess my next thing is to decide if I want the active preamp with the Delanos or the MarloweDK. Me too with the light relic of my TM Ida 5. Even though it’s a very light relic . Yes the vibrio treatment is the secret sauce.I had the same experience with my old TM5. Plus, the vibro treatment is surprisingly effective.![]()
Oh that’s a beauty !!
There are some interesting details to be seen. A new Sandberg branded 6-string bridge, two truss rods with body end adjustment, and a neat little string retainer.Oh that’s a beauty !!
Agreed!!I think these fingerstyle clips do a much better job of showing how this bass really sounds than all the slap stuff, amazing though her slap work is. The bass (and her playing, of course) really shines here!
I’ll check my other sandberg bass later this week. For now, be satisfied with a pic.

Anyone here own here Signature model bass?

I have a bit of a twin to one of yours
It was all tort when I got it, n]but I monkey'd pickguards and control plates to make it look like an old Musicman Sabre
i actually have wanted to do this for my VM5. i assumed the control plates from the TM5 were not identical in shape to the smaller portion of the plastic pickguard. is this a wrong assumption or did you have to do some customizing of the standard control plate and/or larger portion of the pickguard (and/or have one or the other specially fabricated)?
