I'll have to look closer next time I change strings, it seems like there's nothing there holding the saddles in place once I take the strings off and they can just slide back and forth until there's tension on the string again. Thanks for the link.

Check the screw on the bottom right of each saddle. It should be tight. There’s no reason for the saddle to move if it is, and every reason for it to do so if it’s loose.

I love the industrial art deco look. Lollar Thunder-Bird pick ups - 3.5 kilo (7.7 pounds) - passive but great output.
Perfect fit and (minor relic) finish - What's there not to like.

I remember seeing these on their Instagram feed, but can you remind me the name of the special run? I want to set an alert on my reverb….

I’m sure they would if you ask through a dealer. They’re always super accommodating with customizations.

I stand corrected after re-watching Obra's informative video. The securing pin could be locked in the retracted position.

I really love my Sandbergs... until it's time to change strings. The saddles tend to pop out of place and then I have to adjust the intonation every time which is even more annoying with that bridge.

What is this "changing strings on a bass guitar" of which you speak?

I don't think they have a "name", but "California TT Special limited 15 run Lollar" should check most boxes. If I run into one on-line -- used - I'll drop you a note.

Thommen had one in stock, just recently. I had to keep slapping my mouse hand away from the super strong magnetic attraction it was experiencing from the "add to cart" and "buy" buttons.

The way Thommen seems to work is, for items that aren't in stock, they have a variety of pre-designated configurations that are easily orderable or easy to watch and track potential availability. I still have this one bookmarked...

Quick question, just received a used 2019 California TM after always regretting that I sold my 2018. The push/pull volume pot for active passive on this bass is push/push with the bass being in active mode with the pot sticking out more. Is that now standard?

My 2021 VS is passive when the pot is pulled out, active pushed in.

It sounds as if it's been modified aftermarket to be passive as default.
