here we are, as promised, my new California TM5 blueburst, swamp ash body, maple fingerboard with balck dots and matched headstock, I'm so happy with my new bass guitar!!!! Can I have a number?

Beautiful! The clear pickguard is a really nice feature, I couldn't think of a better combination for really making the blueburst/maple pop.

It's not that easy. I've sent a few e-mails to german shops, they gave me unrealistic prices, some didn't reply, and the only one that gave me a proper price quote doesn't reply when I tell them I'm ready to order.

Hi, have you tried contacting Session Music? Maybe call them once by phone so they take you seriously. They are usually pretty fast and give out fair prices. If you can't get ahold of them let me know what you need and I'll give it a shot.

Prices might be higher but I always tell people it's best to try out your bass before you really accept it, in case something turns out not to be how you wanted it. In such situations it makes it much easier ordering from a store you can go to than just online.

I've contacted many stores, be it in Germany or in France. Even Session. The best price was given by Soundland. I should be ordering from them soon.


And it would be a custom order, there's no point trying the bass cause I can't see myself refusing it after 5/6 months of wait...

Hi Sandberg experts,
I tried a TM5 at the weekend it was a a fantastic bass with a great sounding b.
The thing is, seeing as I would be paying £1399.00 for the bass, I would like one with my own colour/ fretboard preferences.
My question is, should I go ahead an order the one I want or should I stick with the one I have played, are the b strings consistent with all Sandbergs?

Sandberg's production is consistent. You shouldn't be disappointed by a custom ordered one.

But get prepared for a long wait. Average waiting time these days is 4/5 months and that's a minimum.

Ok guys, I cant seem to find anything explaining how to adjust the saddles and I cant make sense of the saddles myself, theres just alot of tiny little holes. Anyone care to explain?

Has anyone checked out the magnet strengths of their Sandberg P pickup?

I was tinkering around with the set up on my California VM4 and just happened to touch the pole pieces of the split P pickup with a screwdriver. I noticed that the E and A pickup had a stronger pull than the D and G pickup.

Is this normal or have a got miss matched pickups?

This seems normal to me, I don't own a Sandberg Bass with a P-PU but my Humbuckers and Jazz PUs have stronger magnets for the E and A String.
