Hello Sandbergers, I'm seriously considering ordering one of these beauties but kind of stuck with model decision. I was about to buy a Fender Deluxe JB, then changed my direction to Sandberg after reading all posts here about it. I generally like classic warm bass sound but if I'm going to pay this much, I should be able to have some tonal variety. I never played a Sandberg before but watched all model demonstrations over youtube so came up with a few models, but I have some questions:
1- I like how TM5 sounds though not being a fan of humbucker, also there is a visible TM tendency here, should I be able to get classic passive Fender sound from single? (You might say "go buy a fender if you want a fender" but fender does not produce a model that satisfies me visually so I'm going custom)
2- From Marlowe's vids, humbucker also sounds pretty decent and calm (which is good for my taste) I'm into both Jazz and Electronic (not loud ones - I like ambient triphop etc.) music, so can a TM satisfy warm need of Jazz while presenting me tonal variety of Electronica? (I know - another stupid question

)
3- Jazz lover in me like the passive tone of TT's and UMBO's. Probably TT's would have narrow tone range than TM's but I would definitely like its tone more than TM. (This is not a question, just self murmuring

)
4- Another option is to go with P/J - VT5, I'm wondering how much it differs from TM5. It looks like VT's are not very popular.
That's all, to sum up which one should I choose. I have privilege to buy a Fender from US and Sandberg from Germany so I wont pay too much additional tax etc. A decent Fender will arrive around 1500-2000$ and a Sandberg aroud 1800-2200$, I guess "200$ more" is a fair trade to own a custom guitar.
