That's a nice feature. I've wondered if I could do that with my TM4 but mine has the Delanos. If anything, just to hear if there is a difference with the back coil.

Are the pickups singles like a jazz or are they the T humbucking singles like in the TMs?

Now is as good a time as any to share Violet with her customized pickguard. I realize spraying a guard is semi sacrilege, but in my defense I did plasti-dip with no sanding then heavy glaze clear. So it's reversible, though getting it off would be quite a task. So far it's held up well.
make that in a 4 string and it is my dream bass. I already have a VM4 but I’d love a violet burst!

honestly haven’t played with it much, however you can tell it is definitely brighter when using the back coil and adds some aggressiveness. The front coil is mellower and adds some more mid punch. Excited for the options.
When I got the D800 I played it through my Berg CN series cabs, Mesa subway line
, and Aguilar sl. I really like the low mid punch and the fact they are not brittle on top. The Mesa cabs are awesome, but didn’t feel I was missing something and personally preferred the Bergs. Fun part is I have another 12 that I can use for a vertical 4x12 stack since the Mesa will go 2 ohms.

First off, I love everything about the bass I received - Bought used from a reputable shop here in Europe.
Only thing that is nagging me (As the shop never mentioned it nor was it shown on any pictures) is that, despite only being from 2021, is the DEEP notches in the zero fret. When I say deep I mean nut slot deep.
I googled and found a threat on a UK forum where another owner also had this happen.
Is this normal?
I am going to take it to a luthier that's for sure as the zero fret is in it's current condition not doing anything a zero fret is supposed to (Other than acting as a funky looking nut).

Really? So Deep? That's news to me and but I guess it makes sense to do it during/after the PLEK.
