I've had good experiences with BC but I've only ever ordered gear that was already in stock.
Great guys to do business with.
I don’t live anywhere near Bass Central and I’ve bought 7 basses from them. Imagine if I lived 10 minutes away!
But being able to try the basses before buying is a huge advantage, it can save you some money over buying blind.
They're great. I bought my Sandberg online from BC, and afterwards they were very helpful getting input from Sandberg about how to achieve good string-to-string balance on my TT-5. (When it arrived, the A string was barely audible in a mix.) I've also been to the shop, where I had a very positive experience trying out a bunch of basses. I would definitely do business with them again.

New to this thread. Was wondering if they make any short scale basses?
If you’re wanting to place a custom order, Sandberg can make most of their basses - any of the V or T series as a short scale 30” bass. You can request any pick up combination you’d like as well.
You will have to wait about a year or longer until you get your bass though.
Aside from that you can find the Florence and Lionel models in stock online.
Both of those are 30”.
You might also be able to find short scale TT or TM. But those are somewhat less common, unless ordered.
There’s two short scale TT’s on reverb as I write this message.

This doesn’t answer your question but I know Sandberg work with 30”, 32.5”, 34” and 35”.
That goes for most of their builds.
If they’ll do 5 string on the short scales, I have no idea.
I’ll probably drop by or give them a call soon to get info on the 5 string short scale possibility. I’ll update soon.
In order to get a quote on a custom order you have to go through a dealer, and while 30" basses turn up as regular production, I'm pretty sure 32" would be custom. There's a 'configurator' on the Sandberg page but that's for variations on their standard models: what colors, etc. So if there's a dealer you want to work with (they're listed on the Sandberg site), try getting in touch with them and see if they can relay your query. It won't be quick to get a bass built to your specs, probably a year or more. If I were you, I'd look for a short scale model, maybe a used one, to try out and see how I liked the Sandberg feel.
Alright, official answer from Marc Najaar is no.
They are currently not doing any short scale as 5 string. Production or custom order.
Might be something they’ll do in the future but for now it’s not available.
I have been trying to sell my Sandberg Oliver Riedel bass for almost a year now. What's the deal with selling Sandbergs? I have it at a reasonable price too. Would anyone here be interested?
Only brand I know off the top of my head, without being an incredibly expensive boutique bass, is Kiesel.
You can get their Vader model as a 5 or 6 string, 30”. I used to own one.
And they’re headless. Not sure if that’s a deal breaker for you.
You can custom order one with a very generous amount of options.
