Perhaps you'll get it sooner than you expected, I was told that mine would take 12 weeks to be made but unexpectedly I got it in 6 weeks! :smug:

Well mine took 20 weeks instead of the 11 weeks that were promised.
At the time they were having problems with the guys doing the finish.

When I received it though it was flawless and they included the second pickguard I asked for, for free.

At the moment, my Sandberg seems to move from backup bass to pole position. I just ordered a Sadowsky preamp to further upgrade it.....

LOL I asked for a second pickguard too! =P
Your the second guy here changing the preamp to Sadowsky - What's in them? I loved the Sandberg tone!

My PM5 has the Glockenklang 2band bass/treble preamp.

I just prefer the passive PM5 sound through my outboard Sadowsky preamp.
On the Sad, the highs are less "clanky" and the lows are less compressed.
But please bear in mind that my PM5 has AlNiCo PUs, not the Sandberg ceramic PUs.
I prefer a more vintage tone.

So rather than always take the bass and the preamp/DI, I've ordered a Sadowsky onboard preamp.

I am new to these Sandberg Basses. i usually play Warwicks and this guy oferred me a trade for his Sandberg Basic PM 5. for one of my Warwicks. I know nothing from these basses and their main webpage is of very vague info.

anybody could tell me how much this bass would be used?

I have no pics or anything besides the model. anybody could help me?

Hey Trujo! Nice to see you posting here, I know you from the Warwick forums.
The sandberg Basic PM 5 is as it says, a very basic Sandberg!
I can't really discribe how they sound like, but I always say that Sandbergs have a very rounded of sound, smooth. They are not woody sounding, and it has sort of a modern touch.

Which Warwick are you trading it for (one of the thumbs)? The Warwick sound is a whole lot different to any Sandberg.
The best would be for you to try one out, if you can't and go for the trade. Expect to get something very different...
The tone variety of Sandberg is also not comparable with Warwick. Also to mention that Sandberg basses are very comfortable to play, and the quality is great.

The Glockenklang EQ, is very precise, not too versatile. You always end up with a sound that has a similar character. Played in passive mode it has almost the same volume.

Well my description probably isn't very good, but I would be happy to answer any further questions of yours.
Please if any Sandberg player isn't happy with my description, feel free to correct me!

There are some Sandberg Basic owners on here, would be nice if you could post a comment.

PS: Forgot to answer, I think a used PM4 would go for about 800+ euros.

Hey there people. I've had my Sandberg PM5 for about 18 months now and I love the thing dearly. I'd also like to pick up a Sandberg Basic 4-string.

It's finished in Aged Tobacco and has a 2 band EQ. Not sure but I think it's a Glock one. I don't have an "on the stand" photo so here's some action shots....

Please may I have a number?
Thanks a lot :-)

Ohhh very sorry for that, I haven't noticed that I typed it wrong. :crying:

Hope you forgive me! :P

Anyhow how is you're JM4 doing?

No probs mate! :)

Yep my Sandy is doing fine, I did some recording with it for the first time recently and it sounded absolutely superb - a real rich, smooth sound and the Engineer loved it!

It's still my No.1 bass and I love it more each time I play it! :D

Is it just me or the creme color looks different (like olympic white) on California Models than the Supreme Models?

There is an "Aged White" which is a fairly new color option, perhaps you've seen that?

The photo of the Supreme model on the Sandberg web site is a fairly faithful representation of the Creme color and I have seen other California models in this exact same color. :)

Hello to all sandberg members.

Bought mine ( JM4 hardcore aged creme) a month ago and I am very pleased with it. Untill nof Fender JB was my most used and most favourit bass. The JM california changed that.

Currently our band is on low profile but me and some friends are thiking for a new project.

Hi guys, thought i would share my Sandberg California custom shop 5 string JM, i think it is brown burst but feel free to add any thoughts. Owned it for about 4 yrs bought from the bass centre in london. I have frequently had the grass is greener thought but never gone through with the change. I love it so much vaiety of tone although i can't quite get the funky sound i want. The G string is always a bit thin for me, think im going to try some nickel or flatwound to see if i can change the tone slightly. Hope you like

WOW! Great to have another Terra in the club! Finally.
Tell me you're thoughts about the bass, are you using it in BEAD or standard?

Atoni you're number is 28. Welcome.

Shure BartS you may join the club! Just please don't forget to post some pics of you're JM4. You get number 29.

Also thank you Lowfer, that brownburst is very nice and dark (perhaps it's even blackburst).
Very nice bass and also nice pics! I like how the pickguard reflects the light of the flash.

Enjoy you're basses, and have a good christmas eve!
