On the topic of Premier Guitar they did this rig rundown recently with Minus the Bear, if you skip to near the end the bassist shows off his Meatsmoke. Although the rest of the video is pretty cool too if you're into effects.

Nice! According to Ben, I'm getting the version 2 pedal. Should be any day now. I feel bad pestering him for updates, so I'm trying my best to be patient.
My Meatsmoke head came in a few weeks ago.

Very exited to hear that version 2 will have a gain control for the boost channel. I miss my MS pre, so I'm socking some money away for another. I might go for the rack version. Not sure. But I am 100% willing to admit that flipping it was one of the dumber moves I made gear wise. Oh well, we live and learn.
I recently switched heads to a Mesa Mpulse 600. I'm loving it. But it does sound similar to the tone I got with the meatsmoke. I wonder if it'd be redundant. i wish I could a/b them. Anyone have both that could comment?

Hahaha no ****. I was beginning to think it was all a dream.
Finally on its way though. I doubt it'll get here in time for my gig next Saturday, but I've got a few more gigs booked in May and June, and some studio time coming up as well.
In other amazing news, I'm also now the proud owner of a Rickenbacker 4003! Sounds pretty great through my practice rig (JDI direct into my laptop haha), but it didn't fare too well with the one band I have that plays in a lower tuning (drop C#). Probably just a setup issue, but I can't wait to try it out with my two standard-tuning bands, which is what I bought it for anyway.
You'll love the RIC. I got mine this past Dec. Love the grindy tone I can get out of it. It should pair perfectly with the MS...
Ordered a big spider last week. Can't wait to pair it up with my meatsmoke head. Ever since receiving the amp I have loved every minute of it.
