Just want to throw a quick question out here.. What amp is everyone pairing their meatsmoke pre with?

I put mine into the power amp in of an abused Acoustic 122 combo. I am still impressed.

At the practice space, I push it through a Peavey TNT 115. At shows and at home, I push it through a Genz Benz Streamliner 900.

Sounds best through the GB STL900 effects loop. Sounds best direct into the Peavey.

I've used mine with a gk 700rb II and 1001rb II. Cranking the boost on the GK's gives some awesome grind in addition to the pre's sweet tubeyness

I've run it into the back of my acoustic 320 with great results. However, I prefer to run it with a peavey classic 120/120 stereo tube power amp: 120 watts / channel or 240 bridged. It's perfect, as long as you don't mind having an 80 lb 4 space rack to move.

I'll be trying it first with my Crown XLS1500 this week, but I also recently picked up a vintage Garnet 50W tube power amp that I want to use for recording our demo in a couple months.

I've also got a SVT 2PRO I'm gonna want to try, but I'm not likely going to be hauling that beast to any shows now that I have my Meatsmoke pre and a 10 pound PA amp

Awww man, I totally feel your pain. I've been waiting on my rack almost 6 months. Up until a few days ago I felt the same as you. I just got an email from Ben on Tuesday saying that it would be shipping out that same day.

This time I know it's in the mail as I've received my tracking # (due to arrive on Friday). All I can tell you is hang in there and send him an email whenever you feel like it. The amount of money spent on these preamps ain't chump change. I really think the sale he had for these things (back in December) set him back more than he expected.

In all seriousness though, just hang in there. When you finally get it, I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase (fingers crossed).

FINALLY getting in a full band jam with my Meatsmoke tomorrow. Also going to be trying it for the first time with my Fuzzrocious OSD as well.

Not sure at this point how much I really dig the boost channel yet, but hopefully I'll be able to dial it in at practice tomorrow.

How do the rest of you find the boost? Any recommended settings?
