Use em both! I use two 2x15 cabs with my Loucks Smoke! It's insane. Runs great at 2 ohms.

Also wanted to +1 Ben being the nicest dude and super easy to work with. Met him last month.

Also new to the forum. After years of reading I finally decided to join. I'd like to post a video review of my Verellen soon. Maybe compare it to my SVT.

Just wanted to stop by and update!
I sold my Verellen-modded Jet City JCA20 and picked up a used Verellen custom head that a friend of mine had.

The preamp is based off a Fender Champ, the power amp is half of a Sunn Model T.
2x 6550's, 45w, preamp and power amp boosts, fx loop, speaker emulator, dummy load, and recording line out. It's definitely my dream amp!

Was able to play out with it at a Gallery two weeks ago and it was nice and loud even just through my 1x12 cab. It gets a nice grit to it with the boosts engaged!

Well I tried to make a demo video comparing my Verellen to my SVT VR and I failed miserably. Audio came out terrible. I'll need to borrow something better from a friend.

Anyways I'm actually thinking about selling the beast...it's a really tough call, but I'm really itching for an old Matamp or an Electric Amp MV180. The only way I can justify that is to sell the Verellen. If anyone here is interested then let's talk! It has a custom Verellen road case too.

Seems like a popular choice of models! Saw the Russian Circles guys live some weeks back and met them after the show, that's what turned me on. 3 weeks later and I've ordered two amps!

What finishes did you get? I browsed some and thought all of them looked sick!

Yeah our guitarist picked up a Loucks on Craigslist a couple months ago and we were total converts after a few shows. He's more of a dual rec guy ultimately, so I think the SkyHammer will be perfect where the Loucks falls a hair short.

We just went with whatever "stock" is... we also asked that they burn a couple upside down crosses into the sides. :D

The new Russian Circles album is killer! If my bass sounds half as good on our next record I'll be content. Mostly I'm excited to have foot switchable tube OD. This is my first boutique amp purchase, so I'm beside myself in anticipation.

Awesome, I play guitar as well and liked the Loucks more than the Skyhammer. Originally I planned on getting just the Meatsmoke pre-amp pedal.. but now with the 25% off the amps, it looks like a awesome deal!
My guitarist has been using JCM800s, Single Rectifiers and Orange Thunderverb / Rockerverb, but the Skyhammer seems like a much more diverse amp with the OD-boost and all.

We also ordered just stock, my guitarist took spalted maple front with dark walnut sides. I chose tobacco burst front with dark walnut sides. Gonna be killer!

The 25% off sale was very tempting for me... but unfortunately my car, cat, furnace, and tv all **** the bed in the last few weeks, so this is not the best time to be picking up more gear.

I was looking at a Skyhammer preamp (for the "studio"), or maybe upgrading from my MS rack to the real deal.

*sigh*, maybe next year.
