I might be the only person here happy that you'll be chugging on it. I seriously thought about buying one and adding an additional pickup in the middle position, and I'm sure not many people here would appreciate me taking a router to it

In the R tailpiece's defense, for the 38 years I owned my '67 4005WB I never had any issues with its R tailpiece. I do have a NOS spare one, but have never had to install it.
