AeroPress. I wouldn't lie to you.
I know you wouldn't. I love espresso but I am too impatient to make it with that in the morning. The night before I set up my drip machine with filtered water (I have my own filter) and Peets organic Gaia coffee. In the morning I push the button on the machine as soon as I get up. By the time I have taken care of business and gotten settled in my nice comfy chair my coffee is ready. I like it with a little organic whole milk.

By the way, I drink coffee for the flavor of the coffee.

Not the 12 shots of creamer and 1/2 pound of sugar that many seem to "enjoy".
Yes I know what you mean. And what is up with "stirrers?" You know the type. I am waiting to put a little half and half in my coffee and they are in front of me. Add a little of this, stir, sip, contemplate. Add a little more of this and that, stir, contemplate, repeat. Dude it's not a chemistry lab would you mind getting on with it.

Hardly anyone in Los Angeles drinks coffee anymore (steep decline starting in Summer 2014). On the west side, I actually over-heard a soccer mom coaching her kids, in the grocery store coffee isle, about how bad coffee is and how the kids should avoid it for their health. She said that coffee was "the breakfast choice for people who don't care about themselves".

(OTOH; some say coffee contains health benefits)

Love coffee and was never effected by caffeine (or so I thought). I regularly drank 10+ mugs a day, any time of the day and never got any hint of a caffeine rush. Then my doctor told me to switch to decaffeinated for blood pressure reasons. OMG, I just thought I wasn't addicted/effected by caffeine - I went through about a month of mind numbing migraine headaches every day, all day and night during withdrawal. I still drink my 10+ mugs a day but now its all decaffeinated. Tastes just as good, don't notice any difference between decaf and regular and blood pressure is now normal so I guess all is good.

There you have it. It's not popular in L.A. and soccer moms say it's bad. Sell your Starbucks stock now.

You have just violated my personal belief of what coffee should be and therefore I must tell you "why I hate" even a little creamer in the mix and your taste (opinion) is wrong.

"Let me tell you something about you that you don't understand" -Ron White- (I think)

Coffee is like a religion to me. I control the process from freshly harvested bean to my cup.

I always drink it black. In some preparations I will add a splash of water similar to how you would do with a whiskey to brighten it up, but never do I add milk or sugar.

I have a love/hate relationship with my favorite morning beverage. I love the smell, the bitter bite, and the steam rising from my cup towards my eager senses. I love to sit and read in the morning with a large cup of java while I contemplate the coming day. Most of all I love the minor buzz I get from the caffeine.
Coffee is my last hold over of substance addiction. I have let go of drugs, alcohol and even sugar but I am not ready to give up my bitter/sweet cup of pick me up.
When I have two or three cups a day life is good and coffee is not a problem. When I start drinking more than that I have mood swings, anxiety, depression and I get grumpy some times.
Right now I am only having a couple of cups a day but time after time that has turned into three then four and sometimes more than five coups a day. That's when I switch to tea and slowly ween myself off of caffeine entirely. I feel pretty good without the caffeine but I miss my coffee in the morning. I always go back. I have gone as long as three years without but I always return to it.
What about you? Do you like or love coffee?

This quote could be my life. Same story - it's the one buzz I still allow in the door, and if I overdo it, I get anxious and weird(er). I've noticed it messes with my time, listening skills, and feel if I get all hopped up on espresso before a gig. But sometimes when I'm grinding the coffee and setting up the machine on a timer the night before, I get a pang of yearning for the AM, and that's just weird...

These people are on a par with the dbags that drive 50 mph in the passing lane. Getting between me and my coffee is a hazardous location!
