Looks good. I love horn funk bands - but you do end up splitting the guarantee lots of ways, eh?

All -

For those who use sub keyboard players in Denver, I suggest avoiding Rob Lowe.

Although Rob is a wonderful, versatile player and easy to work with, his reliability has been poor in the time we've worked with him. He has canceled his availability for us on the day of the gig three times - twice within hours of the downbeat and most recently for an important gig being recorded and with press exposure.

I believe that Rob is suffering some family health problems, which is unfortunate and he has my sympathy. We will not be playing with him any longer.

Attention bassists, if you're in the market for a new bass, check this out!! A fellow bassist and friend is selling several killer basses at great prices including Fodera, Sadowsky, Wal etc.. on Saturday September 10th.

Here is the link: Mojo's Music Academy - Rockin the Front Range - CALENDAR

Please keep this in mind, I know his intention is to keep these basses local and get them into Colorado bassists hands, he told me he doesn't want to see them flipped and end up out of the country.

See you there!

Might want to add they are four strings only, if you want a low B it's the wrong place!

The big gig was the show put on by 93.3 at fiddlers green. This year the headliners were rancid, my chemical romance, and blink 182. Not my favorite line up, but we had a few thousand people to play to so I can't really complain.

If I knew there was a local band out there I would have watched!
Even if that's not your kind of music, you have to admit Blink absolutely rocked it. And I had no idea Matt Freeman had those chops!

We gigged last night using a new sound company for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!!

If you ever need sound support, I can't recommend them enough. They got there well before us, had their PA completely set up and everything in place based on the diagram I sent him. They even had power set up at each person's place for their FX & amps. Awesome sounding top of the line QSC powered speakers, wireless mic for the lead singer, 58's for everyone else. The PA sounded amazing. The club owner said we sounded awesome, we got paid more than the agreed upon amount and asked back.

If you ever need a sound company in Denver or the Springs areas (he lives in Castle Rock), let me know and I'll hook you up (provided we haven't booked him first!).
