US: West Colorado Club

Guess I'll snag #83 while we're at it.

Also, I'm playing a gig with the Hot Club of Boulder at Link Removed in Longmont on Thursday. Should be some fun stuff for any Gypsy swing fans out there. 7:30-9pm, and I believe it's $5/person admission.

Hey guys, next weekend my new band is playing a show at the hi dive. Saturday the 28th. In the Whale and eldren are the headliners. I'm playing with my new band Earthbound (on the flyer as "the forge"...bands names are hard to choose!) and I'll also be playing a few tunes with in the whale. I believe it's $7. I am really excited and it would be great if you came out so I could meet some more bassists!

Hey guys, there is a Bryan Beller clinic at Premier Bass Guitars next Tuesday, January 31 at 7:00PM. It's totally free plus if you attend you could win a GK MB500 head! Free gear is reason enough for me to go :) Plus, it's a great excuse to get down to the coolest bass shop on planet earth. And no, they did not pay me to say this...in fact most of my money will be going to them so I can grab that bergantino NV412! Hope to see you guys there.

I still haven't gotten up there yet. Shame on me.

Nilla already beat me to it! I'm definitely going, loved Bryan's work on Vai's Where the Wild Things Are dvd. Plus like others, I haven't been to Dan's shop yet!

There are more details on the Premier Bass blog if anyone needs info: Link Removed

We should think of some way to distinguish ourselves as Talkbass members, would love to meet any of you guys in real life!

Yes! We should all wear jeans and a t-shirt! Wait...I bet everyone will be wearing that. Hmmmmm...suits!? Too much work. How about we write our TB names on our forehead in sharpie? Actually, I don't think I should be in charge of deciding. But I do think a secret hand shake is in order.

Do I have a number yet? (Stop by Herman's in SoBo tomorrow night to prove I do, indeed, gig in Colorado... mention Kindletree and get $5 off the cover charge! /shameless self-promotion)

I'm planning to go to the Bryan Beller clinic too, and I think I've talked my wife into coming along as well. It'll be the third time I've dragged her to Dan's shop...

If you're more of the Denver persuasion, I'm playing with Nick O'Connor tomorrow night at Solid Grounds Coffee House in Littleton @7. No cover, and we've got some new stuff off our soon to be released EP to share with everyone. Should be a good show- hope to meet some of you in person!

anyone else going to Faceman's Waltz next friday? it was pretty cool last year.

I just moved to the area in July so I have NO idea what you're talking about... but my Google-fu is strong:

The second annual "FaceMan's Waltz" will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Bluebird Theater. FaceMan's Waltz is a celebration of both the Denver music scene and the band's second full-length album titled 'FeedingTime'. Since the band's beginning in 2008, FaceMan has developed a reputation of delivering entertaining live shows that combine original music and videos with an emotional performance. FaceMan is a band that seeks out every opportunity to collaborate with other musicians and has invited some of Denver's finest to share the stage at the second annual Waltz. Feed with us.

oh, yeah, i guess i could've elaborated a bit! basically faceman put this showcase together for their album release last year, and they're doing it again this year. they're on stage for pretty much the whole night, bringing out a rotating cast of other local musicians to play both faceman songs and songs from their respective bands. here's a video from last year: faceman's first waltz

It's a four-banger "tribute band" theme at The Toad tonight!

7:15 - 8:15 pm BLACK RAINBOW (Sabbath/Rainbow)
8:40 - 9:40 pm THE SPIRIT OF RUSH (Rush)
10:00-11:00pm DOLLFACE (Tool)
11:20-12:20am MR. KNOW IT ALL (Primus)

I'm not in any of those bands, but I have an acquaintance in Black Rainbow. Their lead singer does a scary good Ronnie James Dio.

Hey TBers,

A fair number of you have RSVP'd for the Bryan Beller Clinic tomorrow at Premier Bass Guitars in Superior CO.

We appreciate your support, and we're sure Bryan appreciates it as well. Please introduce yourself when you arrive as we'd love to meet you. I'm sure other TBer's would love to meet you as well.

I can't remember if you guys decided on t-shirts, blue face paint, or kilts as the TB official dress, but as Funkyebk said, please wear boxers if you show up in a kilt!

Also, just an FYI the cash register will be closed during the Beller event. We want you to have a great time and enjoy the music and everything Bryan has to offer.

We hope to see you there!

Dan
