Sorry for be that guy!!! Didn't mean to steal from ya!

I'm going to try my best to go to bassjam. July 7th might be a little tough on me but I could arrive late afternoon. I like the idea of a potluck or chipping in some money for food.

I've heard a rumor that there will be a 50 lb, 2000 watt cab there which looks a lot like the one in this picture, and will demolish anything in the room.

It's a good idea. I could probably make it. Not like I've been around here too long or anything though. I'm a vegetarian but I would bring my own veggie burgers so long as whoever is grilling promises not to burn the **** out of them :p

I've missed the last couple Bass Slams due to gigs/family weddings, but I've got it on my calendar for this year. Gonna do my darndest to get there this time.

Maybe we'll have a rare Derrellvis sighting! lol

We're an 11-piece horn band... Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Michael Jackson, Steely Dan, etc. No cover!

We used to go in there and behave like idiots about 30 years ago. I never heard of them having live music before. Glad to know!

That first part of July might be a little hairy for me. :ninja: My daughter's birthday is on the 6th, and my parents will more than likely be coming out to spoil her and help her celebrate. They are about the coolest parents ever though and would probably be happy to watch the kiddo while I come out to jam or what ever with you guys. Heck, my dad likes music, he might even want to tag along. :D

I would be happy to contribute stuff as well. I probably could bring some sort of food or drink, and I have some disposable plates and silverware. How many people usually come to these GTGs? Do we have any ideas on what sort of location this will be at, and what city?

Hopefully I can make it out to the Bass Slam. It looks like it will be a fun event and I really can get behind the charity org they are supporting.

I plan on catching the BassSlam, looks like a blast!

I think a Bass GTG in the Denver area would kick ass! I am not sure what a GTG involves or requires format-wise, or what is expected by the players, since I have never attended one. But I am willing to make an attempt at getting one rolling.

I can book the D-Note in old town Arvada, they have a large stage and a good PA/Soundman. Capacity is around 200. The owner (Dave) is a very good friend and we play there regularly. They have a pizza/pasta/apps kitchen. And Lots Of Beer.

BTW, we (Homebrew + Field Street) are playing at the D-Note this Saturday May 11 from 9pm-12ish. A variety of blues, rock and originals. This is the last and final show for Homebrew, although we all will continue to play together, the focus is has changed.
