Another trip to Premier to hang with the crew as much as I can before the shop closes... It's looking pretty bare. Get up there while you can for the last of the sale and help Dan clear out his inventory. It sounds like everything that's not bolted down will be for sale. I'm now all stocked up on strings including a few flavors that I normally wouldn't have thought about!
Anyone looking for a big cab should check out the Mesa Powerhouse 1000 Dan still has there... He marked it down to a screaming deal, and is talking about donating it if no one picks it up.

My wife and I hung at Premier for a while on Saturday, and she bought me an early birthday present:
There are still some really nice basses and equipment at killer prices. Please consider helping Dan clear everything out. It would be great if he could have everything sold and cleared out so that he doesn't have anything left to worry about.

Dan still has a minty Rickenbacker 2030 for a great price. If you want a Ric that plays a bit more like a Fender this may be the one for you! I wish I could buy it but I already took his 4004 project off his hands and need to unload some other gear as a result.
Dan has been a great guy to us all it seems. I wonder if this TB club could somehow all sign a card for him? Logistics would be tough but it would be nice for him and his family to have...

That's definitely a sharp bass, and Eric got that thing sounding sweet. The gold knobs were an especially nice touch.
I'm actually seriously considering that Mesa Powerhouse 4x10/1x15 cab. It's a monster would be a pain in the ass to lug around, but Dan marked it down and it would be an awesome cab for my STUPID LOUD gospel band. I thiiiiiiiink it would fit in my car......? lol It'd look pretty funny with my Shuttle 6.0 sitting on top of it too. lol
Maybe we could all (or as many of us as possible anyway) could meet at the shop this weekend...? He mentioned to me on Facebook that the shop may not be open until the 30th, if all the gear goes before that. I thought it might be cool to get as many of us together that can make it one last time at the shop. Maybe that would be a way to get a card signed?

5sg: I like the idea. Even if we can't all be there at the same time, maybe we leave the card in a certain spot for as many people as possible to sign.
That leaves someone in the position of A) getting the card and B) getting it there early enough Saturday. I can look at my schedule and whether I could get up there really early so no one would get there ahead of me and miss out on signing, but depending on what my wife has planned I may need to pass the torch to someone else--I'll be back with more info later.

I'll be sure to show up at some point, but I doubt I'll be home from my gig before 3:30AM so it won't be first thing.
I would love that cab and I've really been after that M9 for a while. Come to think of it, any of his Mesa gear would be nice to have!
Sadly, my timing is off and I need to sell off a few things before I buy more gear. If I had the cash the M9 and cab would be coming home.

for the past year that shop is down the street almost from where I work and I still have a hard time getting down there...jeez. Gonna atleast get more strings..
I can plan on being up there right at 11am on Saturday with a card, unless someone else can get up there sooner...
And I tell you what... I've got a better idea than a card. If anyone has any good pictures of the shop, you with Dan, etc., email them to me at fivestringgecko (at) gmail.com by this Wednesday. And spread the word, because I know not everyone reads Talkbass religiously.
I'll put something nice together.
